Places of interest

Around Muimenta and Carballeda de Avia there are horreos, mills and viewpoints. The pools and hot springs are in the Avia valley, in Ribadavia and Leiro, a short drive away.

In the village and the municipality

• Horreos de Muimenta — a group of horreos in the village.
• Eirado dos Canastros (Vilar de Condes) — a threshing floor with 13 granite horreos.
• Muinos de Veronza — restored mills and a rest area by the Maquians stream.
• Miradoiro da Cruz — views over Muimenta, on the climb out of the village.
• Pena Corneira — a natural monument of granite boulders, between Carballeda and Leiro.

Pools and hot springs in the Avia valley

• A Veronza river beach (Ribadavia) — a bathing spot on the Avia, not the village of Veronza.
• Pozas de Prexigueiro (Ribadavia) — natural pools.
• O Salgueiral (Leiro) — a picnic area and bathing spot on the Avia.
• Termas de Prexigueiro (Ribadavia) — outdoor hot springs, a few kilometres from the town.
